Abstract

Rapid technological advancements are reshaping societies and economies across the globe. Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, digital platforms, and mobile communication tools are playing a transformative role in economic growth, education, governance, and employment. In developing countries like India, these technologies offer significant opportunities for inclusive socio-economic development by empowering marginalized groups, particularly women and youth. Despite their potential, women and young people often face barriers such as limited access to education, financial constraints, and digital infrastructure gaps. Emerging technologies provide pathways to overcome these challenges through online education, digital skill development, remote work, and entrepreneurship opportunities. This paper explores the role of emerging technologies in fostering inclusive development by enhancing participation and agency among women and youth. It also highlights the importance of digital inclusion initiatives, skill-building programs, and technology-driven entrepreneurship in bridging socio-economic disparities. Additionally, the study addresses challenges such as digital literacy gaps, unequal access, and concerns related to cybersecurity and data privacy. The paper concludes that equitable access to emerging technologies is essential for empowering women and youth as key drivers of inclusive and sustainable development.
